Take your Business to the Next level by Strengthening your Relationships with your Customers

Having a strong connection with your customers isn’t just fun and helpful to have. It’s more than friendly conversations. It can help you get your business to the next level. It provides you with excellent feedback and will help you understand your audience better. That means you will be better prepared to serve your customers which will help you close more deals.

Start implementing these four practices to build a more authentic relationship with your customers and see the benefits of it in your sales.

1.       Are you listening?

You have an idea of what your customers want. But are you sure it’s really what they want? Aren’t your opinion biased by being so close to the industry? Make sure to connect with your customers, to understand them sincerely, and to answer to their needs.

How? Use your social media platforms, your in-person meetings, your events, your research to really listen and understand what your ideal audience is experiencing before offering them your solutions.

Make a survey, use questions stickers on your Instagram stories to ask for their opinion, make a poll on Facebook, ask them to vote on your latest idea.

The goal is to truly understand what their needs, their pain points, the obstacles, their desires are so you can craft an offer that will answer all of that.

It’s not about what YOU think they are going through, it’s about what THEY really need.

2.       Find the right solution

Now that you know where they are coming from, you can be better prepared to find a solution that responds to their needs. Be honest with them and with yourself: is your offer answering their request, or are you creating more needs for them?

By offering them the right solution to their problem, you will appear much more trustworthy. You know who they are, you know what they are going through, and you are here for THEM!

Make sure all your offerings are coming from a place of serving your customers instead of only making a profit. You will sell more, and it will be more gratifying if your offer changes their life for the better.

3.       Stay focused

Don’t try to please everyone by adding more services and offers. More in that case isn’t better at all. Instead, stay focused on what you do well. This will make your life much easier, and it will make your customers less confused. They need to be able to tell in a few words what you are about and if you are the solution they need.

4.       Communicate about it

You’ve got the right solution for them, and now it is time to communicate about it authentically.

First, remind them of their pain points and their initial problem. Show that you understand them and that they are being listened to. Reassure them they are not alone in this situation and that it’s normal. Then, share your knowledge on this topic and the solution you came up with. Show them how their life will be changed for the better if they work with you.

If you have any testimonials, now is also the time to share them. Positive feedback from someone like them who have used your services is a great way to gain more trust.
