Five Entryway Design Ideas That Make a Stunning First Impression
First impressions are everything, and the same goes for our homes. Even though we might not be inviting many people into our homes during a pandemic, we’ve found that having a clutter-free and well-designed living space is an ultimate mood-booster, and it’s important not to neglect even the (sometimes) smallest of spaces.
Whether you’re into decorative tile, statement lighting, or other fun design elements that pack a punch, there are endless ways to set the tone for your whole home from the moment you walk in the door.
For inspiration, we’ve pulled together five beautiful and unique entryways designed by White & Faded, Karen B. Wolf Interiors and Charbonneau Interiors. All showcasing completely different design directions, each of the below spaces feels perfectly refined and welcoming.
A Totally-Instagrammable Fireplace Moment
When this homeowner contacted Karen B. Wolf Interiors, one of their favorite design features was the fireplace in the grand foyer. Karen B. Wolf explains, “It sets the space up to serve as a gathering room, rather than a pass-through foyer only. While we did not furnish the area for that purpose, initially the plan down the line might be to create a functional sitting area in this large area with the fireplace as the focal aspect”
Neutral, Bright & Airy
We love bold and vibrant colors, but we can’t blame Karen B. Wolf for selecting a primarily neutral palette for this space. This entryway feels perfectly crisp and cheerful, and the amazing starburst chandelier is undoubtedly a conversation-starter.
You Can Never Go Wrong with Black & White
I think we can all agree that something about a black and white color combo feels classic and timeless all at once. In their own home that otherwise showcases a variety of white hues, we love that Janet Parrella-Van Den Berg and Dino Parrella of White & Faded chose to add an element of surprise in their entryway. That antique chandelier doesn’t hurt, either!
Make a Stairway Statement
Being greeted by a staircase as you walk into a home always feels so grand and is a statement in itself. When designing this space, interior Designer Nancy Charbonneau took it a step further by adding large, but perfectly muted, artwork to the wall, without compromising the beauty of the staircase. We can’t ignore the amazing high ceilings in this space, either!
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
When in doubt, style your space with a funky mirror and go from there! We love that Nancy Charbonneau is never afraid to take design risks and creates showstopping moments throughout all of the homes she designs. Plus, an artistic mirror in the entryway is actually one of the easiest ways to make your space unique andfunctional.
